The Indianapolis Black Firefighters Association (IBFA) would like to commend you on your decision to apply to the Indianapolis Fire Department. You are embarking on a journey that could change your life! Being a firefighter is a selfless career but one that is very gratifying. You can serve your community by saving lives while providing for your family and being a part of a great organization.
As you review information to prepare for the written exam during the upcoming week, it’s a tradition for the IBFA to help applicants through the hiring process. Therefore, we want to cordially invite you to attend one of the two preparatory study sessions we will be hosting. These informative classes are designed to provide guidance on how to prepare for the exam using proven strategies. Additionally, these sessions will be conducted by active firefighters so we can provide firsthand knowledge and proven instruction.
